Excellent piece! And did you say a future tram network?! Yes, please!! Oxford resident drivers can continue to congest, endanger and pollute on the most direct routes for 100 days a year. And for the rest of the year, £5 a day is still cheaper than 2 singles on a bus. Oxford bus users, who have already been paying the price for the congestion that others create, should get 100 day passes for the bus too! Funded by those who pay the charge (thank you very much!). Maybe allow drivers to swap their day permits for bus passes too!
As a councillor, you must be careful to block critics simply because they are anonymous. Doing so is likely to breach freedom of expression. Blocking on anonymity alone is an attempt to silence criticism.
Since you are going to delete this comment shortly, I am sure you know your statement is not aligned to reality. You do not tend to block anonymous accounts praising you. You have also blocked many non anonymous accounts when they disagreed with you in a constructive manner.
You general shut down critics and I would expect better from a councillor. However, as long as you keep cleaning street signs, I reckon you will get sufficient support to get away with this kind of undemocratic behaviour.

Great piece. See if you can get wider circulation on it . Speak to the BBC Oxford /
Siobhann (Oxfordshire Liveable Streets - connected on LinkedIn)
A) free park and ride or free parking at P&R
B) electrify didcot to Oxford (I know it's a big ask)
C) bring buses in house so you can use tickets across different services, who knows, bus companies might find more passenger again
again
D) my mother's suggestion: have the x40 not stop along Iffley Rd unless getting off (bus to oxford) or getting on (bus to reading).
I block any anonymous account. Don’t take it personally.
